Day 1:

Our event kicked off with an inspiring session led by Alok Tandon, who shared invaluable insights from his 36-year journey in business and leadership. Here are the key takeaways:

  1. Empathy in Leadership: Alok emphasized that authentic leadership goes beyond tasks—supporting your team and making choices that balance your career and personal life.
  2. Smart Career Choices: Whether you’re here by choice or chance, finding a career path aligned with your values is crucial for long-term success and well-being.
  3. Continuous Learning: Stay ahead by constantly refining your skills. Even the best never stop practicing; Alok’s journey is a testament to that.
  4. Work-Life Balance: As technology evolves, Alok highlighted the importance of using it to maintain a healthy work-life balance and stay relevant in your field.
  5. Consistency Over Perfection: Success is a journey, not a destination. Take small, consistent steps toward your goals.
  6. Resilience and Cultural Insights: Alok shared lessons from sports legends and tech icons, reminding us that resilience is critical to overcoming challenges.

This session was a powerful reminder that leadership is about uplifting others and making mindful choices for your future. The students were given case studies to crack and present the next day.

Day 2:

The Presentations from the students took place. Each presentation was unique and solved the different cases from a different view.

The presentation about the food court explored trends and strategies for a food court concept, focusing on customized dining, sustainability, and tech integration, against traditional food courts and specialty halls.

For a transportation company case study, they addressed operational efficiency, digital transformation, and customer service, while suggesting improvements in vendor management, employee training, and cost optimization.

The Gourmet Popcorn case study explored the challenges faced by a premium popcorn product with branding, positioning, and packaging. Key solutions include rebranding as “premium” snacks, marketing popcorn beyond movies, enhancing packaging for clarity, and exploring diverse distribution channels. Emphasizing health benefits and adjusting pricing strategies can also boost market appeal and sales.

This case studies critical challenges and potential solutions for real-life business problems leading to ideas for new marketing strategies, branding, market positioning, etc.
