Mr. Paritosh Anand

It is exciting to share details about the remarkable guest speaker session held at XLRI Jamshedpur, featuring Mr. Paritosh Anand, Chief Data Scientist at Reliance Industries. This session was part of the CXO series for the XLRI PGDM (GM) batch and took place on June 15th and 16th.

During his enlightening and highly engaging presentation, Mr. Anand explored the transformative impacts of digitization, digitalization, and the significance of ecosystems, AI, and servitization on contemporary businesses. His session, aptly titled “A Dummies Guide to Problem-Solving: Principles That Shaped My Career,” offered profound insights into the ways these elements are reshaping industries.

Mr. Anand illustrated how Reliance Industries has utilized digital technologies to revolutionize operations, particularly at the Jamnagar refinery, enhancing efficiency and accuracy. He also emphasized the importance of developing robust ecosystems across various business segments, including energy, materials, retail, media, and digital services (Jio). His discussion highlighted how integrated products and services play a crucial role in addressing evolving customer needs and maintaining competitiveness.

Additionally, Mr. Anand imparted two essential problem-solving strategies: active listening and deep engagement with the problem. He stressed the importance of attentively listening to stakeholders and thoroughly understanding challenges to devise effective solutions. His discussion also covered the impact of AI and digitization in the business realm.

On the second day of the session, students showcased their problem-solving skills by leveraging AI and technology to address challenges in agriculture, women and child welfare, and education. This demonstrated XLRI’s commitment to nurturing future leaders capable of tackling real-world issues.
